CIG ‘Stood Up’ in support of anti-bullying

Civil servants joined in support of the Family Resource Centre’s (FRC) bullying prevention campaign, ‘Stood Up’, last Friday (7 October) on the front steps of the Government Administration Building. This year’s theme is #GetUpStayUp.

Funds raised from the sale of Stood Up T-shirts and other merchandise allow the FRC to support a selected group of students from participating schools to become ‘upstanders’. The Upstanders programme trains students to equip their peers with valuable anti-bullying strategies and to be visible problem solvers with bullying issues as they arise.

Included in the ‘Stood Up’ photo were His Excellency Governor Martyn Roper, Deputy Governor Franz Manderson, Portfolio of the Civil Service (POCS) Chief Officer Gloria McField-Nixon and Deputy Chief Officer Lauren Knight, Ministry of Youth, Sports, Culture & Heritage Chief Officer Teresa Echenique, Department of Counselling Services Director Judith Seymour and Programme Facilitator Charmaine Miller as well as Leanni Tibbetts, Miss World Cayman Islands 2022.
